Car Break In Basement Carpark!!
Guys, today a car got its rear side window smashed as the robber tried to steal a bag from the car but failed probably because saw some residents. I suspect this is done by insider as in by some tenants. Please kindly be aware of any suspicious looking people. Also, never leave any bags in car as well as any coins to prevent break ins.
Admin, I hope you can pass the message to the Committee to call for an urgent meeting with the residents to discuss the security issue. Anyway, I feel the meeting with residents have been long overdue. It's a critical moment to bring the security matter as the 1st priority as this governs our safety. Other minor issue can be discuss over another meeting which can be organised later.
Admin, I urge you to kindly convince the Committee to arrange for a meeting immediately before more security issues arises. I felt the meeting would be a good forum for the residents to highlight any security issues to be immediately tackled. Thanks in advance.

Car Break In case
Hello Simon,
Sorry for belated reply.
1) Have you report this incident to Maintenance Office? We did not hear anything about this from them, neither from security company, in their monthly report.
2) We will act immediately, working with I&T & the Security company to have more frequent patrolling. Besides that, we will get them to check the records from CCTV in car park area.
3) We are sorry for the overdue dialog with all residents. We are planning to call for AGM early 2009. Once the plan is confirmed, we will inform you all via notice board.
Regards.

Re: Car Break In Basement Carpark!!
These days, you find more desperados everywhere, even with the presence of security. But what you said is right, residents needs to be pro active and taking preventive measure ie. not leaving a coin bag in full sight, a bag or anything of value. This can only be done by residents themselves. I always stress on preventive actions alongside security measures and precautions.
But alas, we live in a world where mentality has not changed ie. if there are security guards present, we think they have to assume all responsibilities if anything happens when we can in fact, help prevent it in the first place.

Hello Simon,
Sorry for belated reply again. After long and detail discussion with Property Manager I&T, JMC found that the incident was not reported to Police, based on owner request. Perhaps you can help to check for the actual reason why he/she do not want to do it.
Op top of that, this case was recorded in the security monthly records, but since the owner do not log a police report, therefore they did not highlight it to us. However, we request them to report and take immediate action for security related issues in the future. JMC has given a very clear message to security company and property "no compromised on security issues", further more, we have empowered them with RM2000 petty cash and authority to act immediately on those cases. Will continue to monitor them..
As of now, they have more frequent patrolling in car park, repairing faulty CCTV etc. I&T will provide detail report, will share with you all later.
Regards.
